War is a genre of film where the subject of the film focuses on human to human warefare. This list ONLY INCLUDES DRAMA FILMS ABOUT WARS WHICH OCCURED AFTER 1,800. Satrical war films (Dr. Strangelove) or samurai-type war films (Ran) are not included. These films are ranked according to their direction, story/script, cinematography, acting, music, editing, creativity, and originality, along with its general success and impact/influence in the film industry. While the film’s general success is important, this list emphasizes the success and importance in the specified film genre more strongly.
