Hailee Steinfeld is from Thousand Oaks, California. She left middle school toward the end of her first year to be home-schooled in sixth grade. Her father is personal trainer Peter Steinfeld.
Hailee says she is very interested to be "on the other side of the camera" and would like to eventually produce and direct.
